It's hard to pinpoint the moment Drew and Hannah first met — their earliest memories go back to seeing each other running around on the playground at Sleepy Hollow Elementary School.

In high school, they crossed paths again: once when Drew came over to the Friel household for a Princeton interview with Hannah's dad, Dan, while Hannah sat at the top of the staircase sheepishly listening in, and another when Drew reached out to take Hannah on a date to get sandwiches at Morucci's in Walnut Creek. Both remember the date going well, but fate took them in different directions.

It wasn't until reconnecting at Genevieve and Charlie Wiser's wedding on Gibson Island, Maryland, in May of 2022, that the invisible strings of fate brought them back on course. Many factors had conspired to bring them both to that little island — and the moment they reconnected, they both knew there was something special.

Fast forward through three years of long distance — Athens, Greece and Palermo, Sicily to San Francisco, CA — countless FaceTimes and United miles, they finally moved in together in their Pacific Heights apartment in May 2025. In April 2026, Drew proposed to Hannah in Carmel-by-the-Sea, followed by a dip in the ocean.

Now, they're excited to celebrate their love and commitment to each other, with their very favorite people present.
